Reza Kazerounian

Reza Kazerounian is a recognized leader in the global semiconductor industry, known for building and managing multibillion-dollar businesses across the automotive, industrial, and IoT markets. He has played a pivotal role in advancing microcontrollers, embedded processing, and connectivity solutions.

Reza’s career spans senior leadership roles at industry-leading companies. Prior to co-founding Alif Semiconductor, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Atmel Corporation’s Microcontroller and Connectivity Business Unit until its acquisition in 2016. Earlier, he was SVP and GM of Freescale Semiconductor’s Automotive, Industrial, and Multi-Market Solutions groups, which accounted for over 65% of the company’s $2.7B revenue. Before Freescale, Reza held key leadership positions at STMicroelectronics, including CEO of the Americas region and Group Vice President and GM of the Smart Card Security and Programmable Systems Memory divisions in Geneva, Switzerland.

Reza holds a B.S. degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
