The fab is the heart of the company, and our engineers are the people who are responsible for keeping the factory running, enabling new technology development, and improving operational quality, cost, and productivity

Background Required

Degrees (Process Engineers have the most diverse group of degrees in the company)

  • BS, MS, PhD
  • Engineering (most common: Electrical, Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, Engineering Physics, Nuclear)
  • Non-engineering (most common: Physics, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Materials Science)

Helpful experience

  • Semiconductor classwork or certificate
  • Cleanroom lab experience

Responsibilities

  • Sustains production in the fab
  • Starts up and qualifies new equipment
  • Works with Technology to develop new processes and technologies
  • Works cross-functionally to troubleshoot problems and drive continuous improvement for quality, cost, and productivity
  • Creates and maintains area specifications and operating instructions
