Polar Semiconductor Celebrates Membership to National Semiconductor Technology Center as It Surpasses 100 Members

Polar Semiconductor benefits from access to a dynamic ecosystem of resources, facilities, and collaboration opportunities to advance its research, innovation, and workforce efforts.

Bloomington, MN – February 27, 2025 Polar Semiconductor (“Polar”) today celebrates its membership to the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC) as the public-private consortium established by the CHIPS and Science Act surpasses 100 signed members. Polar supports the NSTC’s mission to accelerate U.S.-led semiconductor research and innovation, build a strong domestic semiconductor workforce, and strengthen the United States’ leadership position in the global semiconductor industry.

“Polar Semiconductor is proud to be a member of the National Semiconductor Technology Center as its membership and impact continues to grow,” said Surya Iyer, President and COO of Polar. “We’re excited to contribute our expertise in sensor, power, and high-voltage semiconductors and closely collaborate with other members to accelerate U.S.-led semiconductor research and innovation.

Operated by Natcast, an independent non-profit entity, the mission of the NSTC is to convene members from across the U.S. semiconductor value chain, academia, and government to advance three shared and strategic goals: strengthen U.S. semiconductor leadership; reduce time from lab-to-fab; and expand the U.S. semiconductor workforce. NSTC Members benefit from access to leading-edge research, state-of-the-art facilities, shared physical and digital assets, dedicated events and collaboration opportunities, and employer-driven workforce development programming.

The NSTC’s mission aligns with Polar’s commitment to fostering technological advancement and contributing to the nation’s economic growth and national security.
